Mr. Jimmy C. Conner
Miami Fire Dept. Veteran

MIAMI, Fla. - Mr. Jimmy C. Conner, 93, passed away February 4, 2011 in Miami, FL. Graveside services with Military Honors were held 1 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2011, at Marshall Baptist Church Cemetery, Thomson, with Rev. Sid Reeves officiating. Mr. Conner was born December 9, 1918 in Thomson. He moved with his family in 1925 to Miami and survived the 1926 hurricane. He graduated from Miami Senior High in 1937 and joined the City of Miami Fire Department where he was employed for thirty-seven years as Captain. He served in the World War II Navy during 1941- 1946. During 1942 he was in a PSY flight crew in Dinner Kev Miami and transferred to New York, Rhode Island and California. Starling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
