Mr. George T. "Buddy" Walden
CLEARWATER, S.C. - Mr. George T. "Buddy" Walden, husband
of Mrs. Vera "Pat" Wheeler Walden, of Clearwater, S.C., entered
into rest on Monday, February 7, 2011. He was preceded in death
by his brother, Lester Walden.
Surviving with his wife is a son, Jerry Walden (Rita), Bath,
SC; two sisters, Vera Usry, Thomson, GA and Barbara Holmes,
Hurst, TX; two grandchildren: Chris Walden (Natalie) and Jeremy
Walden (Brittany) and two great grandchildren: Lauren Walden
and Gracyn Walden.
Mr. Walden was born in Jefferson County, GA to the late Fred
Thomas and Lennie Usry Walden. He retired from Bath Mill, a
division of United Merchants and Manufacturing, with 35 years of
service and he attended Langley Church of God.
A Celebration of Life Service will be on Thursday at 2 p.m. in
the Langley Church of God with Revs. Benny Burton and Eddie
Toole officiating. Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens,
Graniteville, SC.
Pallbearers were Randy Walden, Rickie Walden, Lamar Toole,
Reggie Morgan, Jeremy Walden and Chris Walden. Honorary
pallbearers were his nephews.
Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service was in charge of
arrangements.
