Mary Pauline Telford
GAINESVILLE, Ga. - Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Tuesday,
February 22, 2011, in Wards Funeral Home Chapel for Mary
Pauline Telford, 91, of Gainesville. Rev. Don Hand officiated.
Burial was in Homer Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Banks
County.
Mrs. Telford passed away Saturday February 19, 2011
in Thomson, Ga.
Mrs. Telford was born in Banks County and had lived most of her
life in Hall County. She was the daughter of the late Walter and
Nancy Ella Durham. She had worked a number of years at Georgia
Printing. She was former President of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary
Local 8452 for 12 years, Ninth District President 1963-1964,
Georgia State President 1967-1968 , and was past President of
the American Legion Auxiliary 1965-1966. She was also member
of Gainesville-Hall Co. Senior Life Center, where she chaired
many committees, Red Hat Society and was member of Homer
Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband
Harold Telford.

Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, James and Lynn
Telford of Homer, Ga. daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Monroe
Matherly of Dearing; grandchildren Cindy Stephens of Maysville,
Ga., Jamie Pasquarelli of Gainesville, Ga., Erica Matherly Smith of
Thomson, Grant M. Matherly of Wrens, and Ross T. Matherly, Sr.
of Thomson; and eight great grandchildren.
Wards Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
