Mrs. Walton Louise Brown Freeman

THOMSON, Ga. - Home-Going service for Mrs. Walton Louise Brown Freeman, retired educator and licensed funeral director, age 100, of Thomson, formerly of Wrens, was held on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at 12 noon at Wrens Chapel A.M.E. Church, Wrens, with Pastor, Rev. Carlos T. Young, eulogist, and Rev. Bettye J. Stephens, presiding. Survivors include two godsons, Shawn Stapleton, Thomson, and Stanley J. Stapleton, Grovetown; one brother, Samuel Edward (Atlanta) Brown, Jr., Wilmington, DE; four nieces, Francis (Clarence) Echols, Greenville, SC, Shirley D. King, Chicago, IL, Walton Brown (Benjamin) Foster, Bloomfield, CT, and Betty Young, Cleveland, OH; three nephews, Samuel Edward Brown, Jr., Hartford, CT, Dale T. Brown, Wilmington, DE and Linton Freeman, Jr., Cleveland, OH; a paternal cousin, Otho Kerr, Jr., Framingham, MA; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Freeman, Cleveland, OH, and Mary Freeman, Jamaica, NY; a host of great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, and other relatives; three dear friends, Amy Hannah, Milledgeville, GA, Mary Ella Brown, and Berna Cotton, both of Wrens, GA; many more friends and colleagues too numerous to name. The Freeman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
