Mr. Bobby R. Redfern
MITCHELL, Ga. - Mr. Bobby R.
Redfern, 65, of Mitchell, entered
into rest Tuesday March 8, 2011, at
McDuffie Regional Medical Center,
Thomson.
Funeral services were held at 2
p.m.. Thursday at Mitchell United
Methodist Church, with Rev. Bill
Seaman officiating, Interment was
in the church cemetery.
Bobby was a native of
Washington, Co. but lived in
Mitchell all of his life. He was
retired from the Abion Kaolin Co.
He was an avid fisherman and loved
to play baseball and basketball, he
will be missed by all who knew
him.
He is survived by his loving
wife of 18 years, Mrs. Emma Jean
Redfern; one son, Gary E. Redfern of Kentucky; three daughters, Tina
Latta of Ala., Carla Hamilton of Palmetta and Julie Redfern of Dalton;
three Step Sons Larry Rosier of Thomson, James Rosier of Augusta,
and George Rosier of Harlem; four step daughters Patricia Ownby of
Sparta, Deborah Lindsey, Gaylene Tanner, and Elizabeth Denton all of
Sandersville; one brother, Terry Redfern of Gibson; and one sister, Carol
Downs of Mitchell; 12 grandchildren, 15 step grandchildren, and 15
great step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Hooks and Mrs. Audrey
Johnson Redfern.
Pallbearers were George Rosier, Dwayne Faglier, Jacky Haywood,
Mervin Meeks, Russell Denton and Jerry Pittman.
Sheppard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
