A program on fostering employee retention will be presented from 10 a.m. to noon April 12 at The Depot, 112 Railroad St., Thomson.
The seminar is designed for employers, business owners and resource staff. It will focus on how to operate a business effectively, increase production and minimize downtime and turnover.
Sponsors include the Thomson-McDuffie Chamber of Commerce, the Georgia Department of Labor/Thomson Career Center and the East Central Georgia Consortium/Workforce Investment Act.
Bob Roesch, a senior training coordinator with the Georgia Department of Labor's Office of Staff Development in Atlanta, will conduct the seminar. Roesch's presentation is based on a private company that promotes teamwork and morale by working together and maintaining a positive attitude.
