Mr. James "Jimmy" D. Reese
THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. James "Jimmy" D.
Reese, 52 of Thomson, died Thursday, March 17,
2011, at his residence.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 20,
2011, at 3 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson
with Rev. Ficklen Guin officiating. Interment will
follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Reese, son of the late Henry and Georgia
Mae Russell Reese, was a lifelong resident of
McDuffie County. He was a contractor for Country
Way Construction and had worked for Two State
Construction. His hobbies included hunting, horses, and spending time
with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, his sisters, Peggy Rushin and Emmye
Rabun preceded him in death.
Survivors: Wife: Lori Thornton Reese; Daughters: Courtney Coleman,
and husband Brandon, Lincolnton, Kendall Mayo and husband Wade,
Washington; Brothers: Bobby Reese, Henry Reese, Billy Reese, and
Johnny Reese all of Thomson, Sisters: Azalea Newsome, Maggie
Anderson and Gloria Butler all of Thomson; Grandchildren: Will
Bonner, Colton Bonner, Emilee Bonner, Carly Mayo, and Hannah Moss
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
