Maggie Burch, the daughter of Karen and George Burch of Thomson, was named to the fall 2010 dean's list at the University of Richmond.
Burch is a first-year student at the university.
The dean's list recognizes excellent academic performance. Students must complete at least 12 credit hours and earn a grade point average of 3.60 or better.
Burch has been accepted into Phi Eta Sigma. She will be inducted April 7.
Phi Eta Sigma is a national honor society rewarding first-year scholarship.
