Briarwood Academy had its first junior varsity track meet March 17. The boys placed third overall behind John Milledge and Brentwood. and the girls placed second behind Brentwood. Other teams participating were Nathaniel Greene, Gatewood and Thomas Jefferson.

Coach Mary Lynn Reese said that she was proud of the girls for their effort. "The girls have really worked hard getting ready for this meet and look forward to the few that they have left," she said in an e-mail.
