daughter, Shannon Nicole
Hutcheson, to Jason Ray
Burton, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Roger Burton of Dearing.
The wedding is planned
for 5 p.m. July 23, 2011, at
Sweetwater Baptist Church
in Thomson.
The bride-elect is the
granddaughter of Gary and
Brenda Godbee-Hardy and
the late Charlie Godbee
of Dearing and Mr. and
Mrs. Jimmy Hutcheson
of Mitchell. She is a 2009
graduate from Augusta
State University where
she earned a bachelor's
degree in early childhood
education. She earned
her master's degree in
curriculum and instruction
at Augusta State in 2010
and will graduate in 2011
with a specialist degree in
curriculum and instruction
from Augusta State. She
is presently employed by
McDuffie County Board of
Education as a teacher.
The groom-elect is the
grandson of the late Mr.
Joseph Sterling Wells
and the late Mary Smith
Wells of Dearing and Mrs.
Annie Florence Burton of
Dearing and the late Mr.
Ray Burton of Dearing.
He is a 2005 graduate of
Thomson High School and
is the co-owner of Burton
Brothers Grinding and
Mulch and J&P Clearing
and Grading.
