The article that your guest columnist, John Barnett, wrote on Calvin Sampson was wonderful!
As my husband and I read the article, it was refreshing to see such a deserving tribute to an individual who has paved the way for others. Many memories have been shared by past football players, including my husband, who still can recite that distinctive chant. I'm sure that there are many who appreciate Mr. Barnett's recollection of the past. They, too, can remember the lives that coach Sampson touched.
Thanks for honoring a piece of Thomson history!
