Allen-Hobbs to wed Saturday
Ruby and Clyde Durden of Augusta
are pleased to announce the engagement
of their daughter, Iris Mechelle Allen,
to Burnie Curtis Hobbs Jr., son of Rosa
Hobbs and the late Burnie Hobbs Sr. of
Thomson. The wedding is planned for
6 p.m. April 30 at The Gordon Club in
Augusta.
The bride-elect is a 1989 graduate
of Alfred Ely Beach High School
in Savannah, Ga. And she attended
Georgia Southern for two years. She is
presently a manager of Applebee's.
The groom-elect is the grandson of
Louise Cartledge of Thomson. He is a
1985 graduate of Thomson High School
and is retired from Quadgraphic.
