Four Thomson High School students have been chosen to represent their class levels in the Georgia Laws of Life Essay Contest.
They are: Ivy Wallace, ninth grade; Brianna Poss, 10th grade; Haleigh Gill, 11th grade; and Shakira Jandura, 12th-grade winner and overall winner.
The Georgia Laws of Life Essay Contest is a statewide competition for high school students. Students are asked to select a "Law of Life" or maxim (such as "Honesty is the best policy," or "To give is better than to receive") and to write about how the character value contained in the quote applies to the student's life.
The Laws of Life contest is approved by the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the Georgia Department of Education.
NOTE: Last week, we published essays by Haleigh Gill and Shakira Jandura. Below are essays from Brianna Poss and Ivy Wallace.
