At most schools, spring sports give students who might not get participate in other sports a chance to compete athletically.
At Briarwood Academy, the season gives a number of students the opportunity to compete in more than one sport at a time.
The private school held its spring sports awards dinner on May 5, passing out honors in tennis, golf, track and baseball in addition to special awards for dedication.
