Mr. Arthur Wade Grimaud
APPLING, Ga. - Mr. Arthur Wade Grimaud, 70 of
Appling, entered into rest May 17, 2011. He was the
beloved husband of Karla Omsted Grimaud.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20,
2011, at White Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery
with Revs. Alvin Taylor and Jim Tirko officiating.
Pallbearers were Gene Hardy, Larry Norris, Keith Wall,
Foster Olson, Andy McGovern and Pete Allen.
Mr. Grimaud was born in Richmond County, and was
the son of the late George Foster Grimaud and the late
Fannie Wortham Grimaud. He served in the United States
Navy and the United States Navy Reserve. Mr. Grimaud
was the owner and operator of Arthur Grimaud Inc. where
he was involved in the construction of Jones Creek Golf
Course and many subdivisions including: Grimaud Place,
Northview and Elias Station. He was a faithful and devoted
member of White Oak United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Karla O. Grimaud; son,
Jason Grimaud and wife Caryn; grandson, Chase Arthur
Grimaud, all of Greensboro; brothers, George Grimaud
and wife Martha Jean, Tignall, Andrew Grimaud and
wife Pat, Washington, David Grimaud and wife Joyce,
Appling; sisters, Yvonne Knox and husband Gene,
Appling, Rudy Olson and husband Jerry, Nancy Thomas
and husband Ennis, Anne Hogan and husband Bill, all
of Grovetown; numerous nieces and nephews and many
cherished friends.
