Mr. Hill Padgett
WARRENTON, Ga. - Mr. Hill Padgett, 69, of
Warrenton. entered into rest June 7, 2011, at the VA
Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 10,
2011, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy
Dunaway officiating. Interment followed in Savannah
Valley Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Clarence Holliman, Donald Prickett,
Jr., Ronnie Prickett, Eddie Newsome, Bennie Story, and
Brad Story.
Mr. Padgett, son of the late William Lee Padgett and the
late Irene Elizabeth Padgett, was born in Baldwin County,
Ala. He was a veteran of the United States Army and
was retired as an electrical contractor. Mr. Padgett was a
member of the IBEW Local #1579 and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his son, Donald Padgett (Anna) of
Pensacola, FL, daughter, Melinda Madden (Donald Prickett,
Jr.) of Matthews; brothers, Leroy Padgett of Fair Hope, AL,
Clinton Padgett of Shelby, NC; sisters, Ruth Hughes of
Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Edna Holloway of Gadsen, AL and
Elizabeth Cousens of Foley, AL; six grandchildren and one
great grandchild.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
