Augusta OB/GYN Specialists has opened an office in the Nicholas Medical Center at Fluker and Ware streets in Thomson.
The office, which opened June 9 with an open house for local medical providers, keeps hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The medical group has eight physicians and a nurse practitioner, Maria Thomae. "Our nurse practitioner will be there every time the doors open," company spokesman Rick McKinney said.
One employee, Missy Brooks, lives in Thomson.
Some members of the staff are fluent in Spanish, McKinney said.
He said the office accepts most insurance plans.
McKinney said the office offers the full range of OB/GYN services and surgery, including the robotic DaVinci surgery.
