Mr. Sidney L. Manor
Owens Corning Retiree BATH, S.C. - Mr. Sidney L.
Manor, 56, of Bath, SC, common law husband of Kimberly
Sizemore, entered into rest Friday, June 24th, 2011.
Born in Chicago, IL, he was a son of Betty Conner
Fendley, Thomson and the late Randall J. R.J. Manor. He
was a former resident of Thomson, where he graduated from
Thomson High School and later attended Augusta Tech.
He had been a resident of Aiken County for over 30 years
and retired from Owens-Corning where he was a supervisor.
Following his retirement from Owens-Corning, he was a
painter and also a mechanic. Sidney was of the Baptist faith
and enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting and working.
Additional family members include his children, Jamie
Lynn Byars, Graniteville, Cristan Brockington, (Richard)
Bath and Jacob Lee Manor, Bath; stepchildren, Ashley
Wilson-Stringfield, Martinez, Kelly Bennett, Warrenville,
Dana Angelos, Ridge Spring, Kimberly Simmons,
Augusta, Joseph Joe White, Aiken and Dwayne White,
Aiken; siblings, Paula Hadden, (Bobby) Thomson, Linda
M. Luckey, (Tommy) Dearing and Jamie L. Manor, (Karen)
Belvedere; grandchildren, James Logan, Joseph Kaine,
Dalton Blake and Sidney Bennett Byars, Richard Quincy
R.J., Jr., Braiden Lee and Addison Paige Brockington,
Kylie Stringfield and Jasmine and former wives, Laverne
Williams, Granitevile and Jeanette Manor, Ridge Spring; a
number of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Wednesday, June
29th, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Dexter
Lambert officiating. Interment followed in Warrenville
Cemetery, Warrenville, S.C.
Pallbearers were Richard Brockington, Randy Manor,
Logan Byars, Bobby Hadden, Joey Walton and Wayne
Langley.
If so desired, memorials in memory of Sidney may be
made to a trust fund that will be set up for Jacob.
Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service was in
charge of arrangements.
