Mrs. Rosa McCorkle
DEARING, Ga. - Mrs. Rosa McCorkle, 87, widow of Mr.
Godon Lee McCorkle, died Monday, June 27, 2011, in the
McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 29,
in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Ferrell
officiating. Burial was in the McCorkle Family Cemetery.
Mrs. McCorkle was a native of McDuffie County. She was
a retired business owner and a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include her son, Mr. Allen McCorkle, Dearing;
her daughter, Mrs. Pat Streetman, South Carolina; three
grandchildren, Leigh Smith, Thomson, Gordon Allen
McCorkle, Dearing, and Sharon McVay, Evans; and six
great-grandchildren.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
