To the editor:
In the political arena it seems to me there is always dissension.
In reference to Scott Huff, he should have known better. In reference to Thomson Mayor Kenneth Usry, he, without thinking, got into a situation and in trying to help made a mistake.
In reference to the Rev. Fred Favors, I don't believe you should rally protesters into a matter like this! I believe you could do more good trying to help the situation rather than demanding that a good mayor step down, and a good employee like Mr. Huff be fired!
Now I say for any of you who have not made a mistake and are completely clean, you throw the first stone!
Isn't it about time that all of us should see the good and good deeds of people, rather than trying to better themselves politically and financially on the backs of others?
There is enough trouble and sadness in our world without trying to create more. Personally, I do not condone drinking/driving, nor do I condone Boss Hogg politics! Most important, I don't care for racially motivated remarks or moves, I don't care who you are!
The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. said it right: "We should judge people by the content of their character, not by the color of their skin."
That means all colors! This writing does not send harm to anyone, and hope none is taken.
