Repairs are being made to a gym wall at Briarwood Academy and should be finished by the time school starts, Principal Benson Parrish says.
Parrish said a bus rolled into the building in May, leaving a hole in the gym wall. No one was aboard the bus, and no one was injured, he said.
The cost of the repairs will be about $26,000, Parrish said. The school has insurance on the building. The principal said the parking brake on the bus either was not engaged or malfunctioned.
