McDuffie Schools Superintendent Jim LeBrun is doing an outstanding job, and today's evaluation "is just normal operating procedure," school board member Robert Smith said this morning.
"He's done an outstanding job in my mind," Smith said.
"The superintendent has an evaluation done just like every employee does," LeBrun said today. He said board members would compile and share notes. He said the process might require more than one meeting.
The administration office issued a notice late Wednesday that the board would hold a called meeting to evaluate the superintendent. That meeting will be held at 5 p.m., with the regular school board meeting at 6 p.m.
"This is just normal operating procedure, no problem whatsoever," Smith said. He said the annual review is conducted in every county in Georgia.
"I think Jim LeBrun's done an outstanding job with our school system and has brought us a long way in just two years."
