Mrs. Dessie Lee Newsome Griffith

JONESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Dessie Lee Newsome Griffith, 81,
of Jonesboro, died July 28, 2011.
Mrs. Griffith was born in Warren County, and was the
daughter of the late Leroy Newsome and the late Maggie
Dye Newsome Dunaway. She was retired as a seamstress from
Unifirst Corporation.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2011,
from the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Beverly
Casstevens officiating. Burial followed in Johnson Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, W.T. Griffith, Sr; daughter,
Angela Lee Frazee and son-in-law, Don Frazee, all of Jonesboro,
Ga.; brothers, Leon Newsome, Jr., of Thomson, and Melvin
Newsome, of Vidalia; grandchildren, Tabitha Frazee and
Donnie Frazee; great-grandchild, Aiden Frazee; and five other
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her sons, John David
Griffith and W.T. Griffith, Jr. and brother, Lewis Newsome.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
