Richard and Deborah Reese of Dearing would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Lynnette Reese, to Ryan Lee Smith, son of Gil and Lori Smith and Tammy Smith, all of Augusta. The wedding is planned for September 10, 2011 in Charleston, S.C. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty and John Lonergan of Dearing and Herb and Jeanie Reese of Thomson. She is a 2009 graduate of Thomson High School. The groom-elect is the grandson of Dwayne and Claudia Ratcliff of Thomson and Ann Smith of Augusta. He is a 2004 graduate of Harlem High School and is employed as a splicer with Southeast Utilities Company. Their ceremony will be dedicated in honor of the bride's brother, Kenneth "Kenny" James Johnson.
