DEARING, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Louise Spraggins Finch, 66, beloved wife of Mr. Donald Finch, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints, Harlem, with Mr. George Nichols officiating. Burial was in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Finch was a native of Opelika, Ala., but had lived in Dearing for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints in Harlem. Mrs. Finch was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Finch. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Donald Finch, Dearing; her sister, Mrs. Sharon (Chris) Davis, Alexander City, Al; her four brothers, William Ross (Polly) Spraggins, David (Frances) Spraggins, John (Wilma) Spraggins, and James (Debra) Spraggins, all of Dadeville, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Dick Embry, Clayton Brod, Gene Hockenbury, Kirk Mitchell, Calvert Tindall, John Valentine, George Nichols, Michael Phillips, Larry Bowman and Michael Hardwick. Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
