To the editor:
Has anyone noticed how gasoline prices fluctuate?
Oil prices by barrel can drop quickly but gasoline prices at the pump fall like dead fleas falling off a dog. On the other hand if for some strange reason oil prices go up just a little gasoline prices at the pump go up like rocket man!
Now this tells me that we are getting ripped off to no end. Here is what gasoline retailers are trying to do. It's very simple. They sock it to the public and do not care who gets hurt.
I say this: "All of you are a bunch of greedy creeps and one day all of you retailers and speculators should have to drink it."
Back a few years a comedy show called Rowan & Martin Laugh-In gave an award called the "Flying Fickle Finger Of Fate," which all people like you deserve.
There is nothing dirty about this award; if so it would not have stayed on national TV for so many years.
Now if people will take notice when you are at the pump, it's possible you can see the little spies checking prices so as to stay competitive.
It's really funny and completely disgusting. As a dear friend of mine once said, "The sun don't shine on the same dog's rump every day!"
If people want to do something about this, stand up and be counted; don't just sit around and complain to your neighbor!
