GIBSON, Ga. - Mr Jerry T. Usry, 67, of Gibson, entered into rest Aug. 26, 2011. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at the Gibson City Cemetery, with the Rev. Butch Baston officiating. Mr. Usry was a native of Glascock, County, a Methodist, a Mason, an Army veteran, and was retired from Bell South Telephone Company. He was survived by his son, Brad (Rhonda) Usry, of Mitchell, a daughter, Stacie (James) Paul of Wadley, a sister Daisy U. (Bobby) Jones, of Mitchell, four grandchildren, Taylor and Justin Usry, Macie Brassell, and Jaymie Paul, and a long time loving and caring companion, Mrs. Susan Sellers Walden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Tommy and Mrs. Mae Bell LaFavor Usry, and a brother, Everett Jack Usry. Honorary pallbearers were Andy Chalker, Anthony Griswell, Tony Thigpen, Kenneth Hardin, James Usry, Gene Johnson, Douglas Usry and members of the Thomson First Baptist Church Mens Sunday School Class.
