THOMSON, Ga. - Funeral service for Mr. Sanders Martin, 63, of Thomson, was held on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Thomson, with the Rev. Rodney Lockett, presiding, and the Rev. John W. Smalley, eulogist. Interment was in the Westview Cemetery, Thomson. Survivors include his mother, Christine Martin; two daughters, Melissa Harris and Sandra Martin; two sisters, Angela Martin and Mary Hatcher; two brothers, Johnny Martin and Jerome Martin; three grandchildren, Rodney Harris, Jr., Aaliyah Harris, and Tamia Harris; one great-grandson, Rodney Harris III; five nieces, Benita West, Londa Lawson, Melanie Williams, Kristen Askew, and Amy Martin; seven nephews, Jeffrey Franklin, Kelly Brooks, Greg Martin, Patrick Martin, Jai Lyle, Eric Martin, and Britt Lyle Jr.; a host of aunts, uncles, greatnieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
