THOMSON, Ga.. - Mr. Jerry Summey Daniel, 76, of Thomson. was called home to be with his heavenly father on Sept. 7, 2011. Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at the Good Shepherd Memorial Park, Boiling Springs, S.C. with the Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Mr. Daniel was born in Spartanburg, S.C., and was the son of the late Andrew Jack Daniel and Lois Kate Summey. Mr. Daniel served in the U. S. Army and was a retired welder and electrician from Monsanto in Spartanburg. He was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include his sister, Delphine Cheney of New Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Daniel, and sisters, Martha Bradley and Linda Joann Hicks. Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
