THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Tommy D. Story Sr., 61, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, in the Lower Oconee Community Hospital, in Glenwood, Ga.. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. Mr. Story was a native of Wilkes County, but has lived in Thomson for many years. He was a carpenter, and a member of Faith Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Michele Pace, Augusta; his son, Tommy Story Jr., Thomson; his sisters, Becky Waller, Thomson and Angela Garcia, Oklahoma; his brothers, Edwin Story, Larry Story, and Buddy Story, all of Thomson; his stepdaughter, April McCoy, Warrenton; stepson, James Bubba Strickland, Thomson; and five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
