Fire gutted a single-wide mobile home on County Line Road late Monday.
The McDuffie County Fire/Rescue Service was dispatched to the location at about 11 p.m. after receiving a call from a passer-by. When firefighters arrived, the structure was fully involved, meaning the mobile home was collapsing in on itself, Assistant Chief Stephen Sewell said.
Fire personnel left the scene two hours later, around 1 a.m.
The department is still trying to determine the cause of the fire. Officials are unsure who owns the property.
