Mrs. Betty Jo Solomon

THOMSON — Mrs. Betty Jo Solomon, 77, of Thomson, died Nov. 1, 2011. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Interment followed in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Roger Lee Neal Sr., Roger Lee Neal Jr., Roger Lee Neal III, Randy Huff, John Veldboom, and Charles E. Thomas Jr. Mrs. Solomon was born in Bridgeport, Ala., and was the daughter of the late Lindsey Thomas and the late Jessie Rollins Thomas. She lived in Augusta many years and retired as manager of the One-Hour Martinizing Cleaners. Mrs. Solomon attended Bethel Baptist Church in Thomson. Survivors include her beloved husband of 58 years, Harold F. Solomon; sons, Harold Lynn Solomon and wife, Connie, of Waynesboro, Thomas Keith Solomon and wife, Sonja, of Hephzibah; daughter, Tina Darlene Neal and husband, Roger, of Gibson; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Solomon was preceded in death by her brothers, Lindsey W. Thomas and Charles Edward Thomas, and grandchildren Chrissy Solomon and Baby Deake Solomon. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society . Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
