Nine squads compete in Cheerfest 2011





Briarwood Academy hosted a cheer competition, Briarwood Cheerfest 2011, on Nov. 12.

Nine cheerleading squads took the floor to perform their routines, either for competition or as a demonstration.

Brentwood School competed in the middle school category and received first place.

The AAA Varsity category included Loganville Christian Academy and the Westminster School, who won first place.

The AA Varsity category included Edmund Burke Academy, Christian Heritage and Brentwood School, as well as a demo routine by the Briarwood varsity squad. Brentwood won first place.

The competition also included a stunt-off, tumble-off, jump-off and lib-off.

The Briarwood Academy junior varsity squad and Mighty Bucs cheerleading squad performed their demo routines as well.
