GROVETOWN — Mr. W.H. "Buddy" Stevens Sr., 62, husband of. Ruth Ann Stevens, entered into rest on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at his residence.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at Starling Funeral Home. Interment was in Westview Cemetery, Thomson.

Mr. Stevens, a native of Thomson, was retired from the U.S. Army National Guard, having served in Vietnam and Desert Storm, and also had retired from Food Lion. He was a devoted husband, father and PaPa.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Stevens; one son, William H. Stevens Jr. of Lincolnton; two daughters, Michelle Bryant, Harlem, and Brandy Carr, Augusta; eleven grandchildren; his sister, Ann Bahmad, and brother, Harvey Stevens.

Starling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
