McDuffie talent is in 'Christmas Carol'

McDuffie County talent will contribute to Washington Little Theater's presentation of A Christmas Carol, opening Dec. 2.

Dr. Stan Coe directs Ebenezer Scrooge and company at the 319 N. Alexander Ave. venue.

Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, Saturday, Dec. 3, Friday, Dec. 9, and Saturday, Dec. 10.

The cast also will perform a special matinee at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.

Reservations can be made by calling the Washington Little Theater reservation hot line at (706) 678-9582.

Assistant director Sharon McKee, who also performs and dances, says the holiday favorite offers something for everyone.

Three generations of her family are involved. In addition to McKee, daughter Judi Johnson serves as choreographer and as Mrs. Fezziwig and granddaughter Anne Schiffner plays Belle. Her husband, Jim, is the set designer and the Ghost of Christmas Present.

Other McDuffie County residents include Payne Powell as Young Man Scrooge and Pat Neimann as a Christmas caroler.
